PRAYING SUNDAY - NOVEMBER 21, 2021
If you have not taken time to PRAY about your giving or spending, we encourage you to do that FIRST. There are many ways to be impactful in your giving. Consider the following options.
TIME
Some people need more than your money; they need a friend. Consider how you can spend TIME with a family member, a friend, or maybe even a stranger. When is the last time you volunteered at an organization that could use your help; a church, a community cause, or a non-profit?
Your time is very valuable and can have a greater impact than your money. Take a moment to ask God to give you a name of someone who needs your time.
TALENT
We all have different skill sets. There are organizations and individuals that could benefit from your skills or training. Where can you offer your skill at low to no cost to bless another? Consider giving some of your best work to those who need it most.
TREASURE
Some do not feel that they can give because they have very little money. Remember that you have treasures that you may not have considered. If you have a car you could give someone a ride. If you have some equipment, you could use it to be a blessing to others.
Many of us have items and clothing in our homes that we have not used for years. Maybe it is time to do spring cleaning this fall and give those items to individuals that need them.
TOUCH
Years ago a telephone company used the phrase, “Reach Out and TOUCH someone.” There is POWER in knowing that someone cares. Who could you phone this season and encourage? Consider writing a handwritten letter to someone that has been a positive influence in your life. Take time to thank them for their investment.
There are many ways to give and buy this season. Use your resources for the greatest IMPACT.
